It has been tradition that the bride's parents sit on the same side as the bride and vice versa. This tradition is now starting to fade away. Couples now are having the parents sit on the opposite side (bride's parents on groom's side and groom's parents on bride's side). This is allowing the parents to see their face instead of the back of their heads. More and more couples are starting to do this, so if you're looking to spice your ceremony up and shed some extra tears, I would recommend this! I'm sure your parents will appreciate it as well!
